Why Table Talk

Real conversations are getting rare.

People often struggle to have deeper conversations, even though many crave them. In a culture increasingly shaped by technology, distraction, and online interaction, meaningful face-to-face discussion has become more rare, and surface-level small talk often fills the space where authentic connection once existed.

Table Talk creates space in the public square where people of different ages, backgrounds, beliefs, cultures, personalities, and walks of life, people who ordinarily might never sit together, can gather around the table and talk honestly about what actually matters: anxiety, purpose, justice, hope, hypocrisy, love, fear, and the deeper questions of life.

No pressure. No judgment. Just real people, real questions, and authentic discussion in a respectful environment where all views are welcome at the table.

How it works

Four Steps to Authentic Discussions

  1. Step 01

    Invite

Inspire people to bring people from different backgrounds. Friends, neighbors, coworkers, family– anyone curious enough to pull up a chair.

  2. Step 02

    Gather

Meet around the table for free food or drink in breweries, coffee shops, cigar lounges, wineries, wherever people gather.

  3. Step 03

    Discuss

Topic oriented discussions facilitated by a Table Talk host that creates a safe environment where everyone listens. No one gets shut down. And all have a voice.

  4. Step 04

    Connect

Strangers become friends. Community is forged. The spirit shows up where authentic discussions live.

A simple table. An authentic discussion.

Three contexts

Where Table Talk Works

One framework. Three contexts. The same patient, relational core.

In Your City

In cities and public spaces, Table Talk creates environments where diverse people can gather around universal life topics, engage in authentic discussion, and build community across differences.

In the Workplace

Table Talk helps foster healthier communication, stronger leadership, deeper trust, and meaningful conversations within unique organizational cultures and team dynamics.

In the Church

Table Talk helps pastors and leaders create conversational spaces where people can process life's most complex questions together, especially surrounding theology, ideology, ethics, culture, and difficult decision-making.

Voices from the table

The conversation is already changing lives.

"I felt like I had a spiritual oil change."
Tim
"I was scared to open up about my story, but I did anyway. Nobody judged me and I feel accepted at the table — these are my people."
Sarah
"Table Talk has been one of the funnest and, honestly, most clever ways to get in front of spiritually curious people! It also engages and connects believers with the friends and provides an on ramp for them to engage spiritually. At our Table Talk we had a pastor bring a Jewish neighbor he had been talking to about God. This neighbor loved being at our time and actually Ubered back the next month even though his pastor friend was out of town. A long story made short, this Jewish man from Israel gave his life to Christ! Now he's being discipled and is attending a great church. We love Table Talk!"
Neale Davis
Pastor at Summit Church NC
"These discussions are awesome! This is like free therapy. It's amazing how much different people have in common."
Marcus
Gospel connection

Authentic discussions that naturally connect to the gospel.

Every Table Talk is built around a universal life topic — but the conversation isn't aimless. A trained host gently guides the dialogue toward a gospel connection point, showing how Jesus speaks to what every person wrestles with. It's evangelism that doesn't feel like evangelism. Just real conversations, where the Spirit moves.
